At-Home Coloring...

Next month I will be participating in a L'oreal workshop about at-home hair coloring. To prepare for the worshop, L'Oreal has asked for questions/concerns you guys have about at-home hair color. Questions will be addressed at the workshop and I will provide feedback to you when I get back.

The Best Swimmer's Shampoo...

If you're looking for a good shampoo & conditioner to wash out all that chlorine in your hair from swimming, I FOUND IT! Last month, while my daughter was at her swimming class, I ran across the street to the local Sally's Beauty Supply Store and asked if they had any shampoos for swimming. The saleswoman directed me to Ion's Swimmer's shampoo and conditioner. When I got home I washed the kid
s whirl of curls with the shampoo and wow! Before I even applied the conidtioner her hair was soft, tangle free and super shiny. The conditioner was just the icing on the cake afterwards.

Protect Your Pucker...

While in Puerto Rrrrrrrico weeks ago, I made sure to apply and re-apply my sunscreen while I was at the beach and pool. I had my face, body, toes, everywhere was covered. All places, except my lips. It didn't even cross my mind. I just made sure to apply my trusty Yes 2 Carrots lip balm and a tad of lip gloss on my lips.

Fast forward to check-out day. I felt a little sore on my lip but thought nothing of it. A few days later a small dark mark appeared on my bottom lip. Of course being the hypochondriac that I am, I made an appointment to see my derm. Basically, what had happened was, my lip was sunburned and the discoloration would eventually lighten up once the summer months were long gone. Of course I need to monitor it, but for the most part, she was pretty sure it was a result of all my fabulousness under the sun in P.R.

Yes 2 Carrots does such a great job with moisturizing my lips withouht that waxy feeling. BUT, unfortunately it has no SPF. (hint, hint) As a result, it is now the base for my Chapstick w/ SPF 30.

Don't forget your lip ladies!!!!!!!

I dunno, I'm just not crazy about this look on her. I mean, this isn't the first time she's done this, but I guess since there's a craze now with everyone cutting it off, it's a "big" deal.

Caress Your Skin...

I'm always on the hunt for a great body exfoliator. I've been using Caress' Exfoliating Body Wash for the last three weeks and am loving it. Kim's New Look...

Kim hit up the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday with new lighter locks, for real this time. When she rocked a wig a few months back in the lighter shade, I wasn't in love with it partly because the color was too light. But this time, she nailed it!

She writes:

This time it's for real, guys! I went blonde!!! I had been considering it ever since I wore that blonde wig, and I just decided to go for it!! What do you think? I am really loving it! My hairstylist Clyde Haygood orchestrated the whole thing and Rebecca from Goodform salon dyed it! I'm debuting my new look at the Teen Choice Awards tonight!

P.S. - I'm LUVn Kourt's whole look and the little sisters are growing up so fast, wow!

Could It Be...

Here I go once again, cheating on my beloved Purity. For the last three weeks I've been having a fabulous "affair" with Peter Thomas Roth's new Foaming Cleanser. I wasn't even in the market for a new cleanser. BUT, while I was in Sephora last month returning something, I stumbled on it.

I am absolutely in love with this cleanser. It pumps out a foam that lathers nicely and it takes off EVERYTHING as is super gentle around the eyes. The bottle suggests 2-3 pumps, but 1 does just fine. The best part is that after rinsing, my face doesn't feel tight. It has no sulfates or fragrances. Great for all skin types.



The only downside is that it's a whopping $32 for only 6.7 ounces. I get double that for the same price with my Purity. Nonetheless it's a great cleanser!
